Our Practices
Grass-Finished
We pride ourselves of not only providing grass-fed cattle, but also grass-finished. Too often, cattle are transported to bulk lots where they will consume corn prior to their slaughter date to gain extra poundage to optimize a rancher’s returns. We believe this practice can be harmful to the animal and the land.
No Antibiotics
We believe our land provides the best medicine for our herd. While we do not use antibiotics on our herd, we do believe in our animals’ welfare. So, if a member of our herd is sick, and it is a life-or-death situation, we will administer antibiotics and remove them from our main herd to ensure 100% of our butchered meat is antibiotic-free.

Not only do we believe rangeland practices is a form of conservation, we also believe in the practices to vitalize our soil health and biodiversity on our pasture. Lehi Ranch has a 3, 4, and 5-star soil ratings from CO Department of Agriculture and we’re just getting started.
